ACCs facilitate government priorities for regional development

ACCs are uniquely placed to inform Government of the impact of policies and programmes on business and the community. ACCs provide constructive and regular feedback to Government on community development needs.

ACCs promote and disseminate information about Government priorities and programmes and provide a referral service to link their community with these initiatives.

ACCs are actively involved in identifying opportunities to bring whole of government solutions to community and regional issues.

ACCs facilitate the development of project proposals submitted by the community for funding under regional programmes. There are a range of regional programmes which are part of the Transport and Regional Services portfolio.

Details of these programmes can be found on either the Department s website at http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/regional/index.aspx or via the Australian Governments Grants website at http://www.grantslink.gov.au.

More information about these and other Australian Government initiatives can also be obtained from your ACC.
